She was born in Athens and grew up in Kos.
Since September 2016, she has been living permanently in Scotland.
In 2019, she graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience, specializing in Cognitive Neuroscience, which allows her to be recognized as a Graduate Psychologist (MBPsS). Her postgraduate research focused on studying auditory and language processing deficits using EEG (electroencephalogram) in Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients, with the vision of incorporating such findings and biomarkers into the future diagnostic criteria for AD. This research was also presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC) 2021, organized by the Alzheimer's Association, the largest non-profit organization for AD research. During her studies, she contributed to the scientific team of the PACO neuroimaging research laboratory at the University of Glasgow.
She is a certified Life Coach and Executive Life Coach (business and leadership) with a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certified program in the UK. She maintains her own website where she offers sessions, and training (The Psy Angles - www.thepsyangles.com).
She is qualified in mental health first aid for people with suicidal ideation, panic attacks, alcohol and/or substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and psychosis, among others, by the NHS (National Health Service) Scotland.
She is a member of the British Psychological Association (BPS) and the British Neuroscience Association (BNA).
She has worked in prisons in Scotland, focusing on the psychoeducation of inmates.
She has volunteered as an independent inspector in prisons in Scotland, for the HMIPS (Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Prisons for Scotland) and SPS (Scottish Prison Service) to safeguard the human rights of prisoners and improve their detention conditions. Simultaneously, She participated in the Trauma-Informed Practice group in prisons and is a proud supporter of the Compassion Prison Project, which is based on the "Step Inside the Circle" method.
She has also worked as a volunteer consultant for Victim Support Scotland, where she assisted victims and individuals affected by crime in various ways, including relatives of victims and witnesses, offering one-on-one psychological support when they were called to appear in court.
In Glasgow, she volunteered as a mental health consultant for individuals with HIV and/or Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), as well as vulnerable young people aged 14-19 who were experiencing family problems related to health, poverty, alcohol and substance abuse, abuse, and neglect, to help them achieve their goals. She has also volunteered to teach English to refugees.
She also holds the title of Speech and Language Therapist, having graduated from a university in Greece. During her internship, she worked at the rehabilitation centre "Euexia" in Halkidiki, primarily treating adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders. She conducted degree research with the aim of creating a protocol for evaluating communication disorders and cognitive deficits resulting from brain injuries. After obtaining her degree, she worked in the private sector and as a freelancer. She stayed up to date with developments in her field through participation in conferences, method certifications, and further training programs at the Kapodistrian University of Athens, focusing on psychiatry and (neuro)psychology. Simultaneously, she authored articles for online newspapers and magazines, including the Greek Kidney Patients Foundation's newspaper.
